Ordering your meals — Jacinthe Traiteur
1

Fill in your file

Go to Mon compte → Infos familiales (My account → Family information). As long as something is missing, the cart refuses the order and tells you what.

Required: your first and last name, your address, city, postal code, province, phone and email.

For each child: first name, last name, grade and school. The school decides which page the child shows up on. A child with no school takes their sibling’s and is marked « héritée » (inherited).

A child record you started but did not finish shows in red and blocks saving. Nothing is erased: complete it and save again.

If someone else is paying

Grandparent, separated parent, employer: fill in the payer block — name, phone, email, relationship to the child.

Remember

Write the payer’s name exactly as it will appear on the Interac e-Transfer.

This block is for your file. The name that actually matches the payment is the one you type again at checkout, on every order — keep the two the same.

Do you work at the school? Check « Employé » (Employee) and pick your school: the staff price then shows up in your options.

2

Pick the days

Go to your child’s school page. You only see the children registered at that school. The message « aucun de vos enfants n’est inscrit à cette école » (none of your children is registered at this school) means the school is wrong in your family information — not that the page is broken.

ZénithThursdayThursday, September 24

At Colibris, a Friday holiday is made up on the following Monday, with the Monday menu: that is why a Monday sometimes shows up in a Friday calendar.

The calendar runs Monday to Friday and opens eight weeks ahead.

The meals

MealPriceFor whom
Student — regular portion of the daily dish$7.50students
Large portion — daily dish, generous portion$8.50students
Sandwich — with soup, salad and dessert$7.50everyone
Employee — daily dish, staff price$9.00staff
The rule

A child can only have one meal per day. The large portion is not an add-on: it is a meal option. A day already taken shows « Repas déjà dans votre panier » (meal already in your cart) or « Repas déjà commandé » (meal already ordered) instead of the menu.

One day at a time

Click the day in the calendar, pick each child’s meal, then « Ajouter au panier + la date » (add to cart + the date). That button sends that day only.

Several days at once

The box at the bottom of the calendar works in three steps:

  1. The days. Check them one by one, or use « Cocher tout le mois » and « Décocher tout le mois » (check / uncheck the whole month). Those two buttons add nothing to the cart: they only check boxes. Days that are closed, past or already ordered are left out.
  2. The meal. One option per person, applied to every day you checked.
  3. Sending it. « Ajouter les journées cochées au panier » (add the checked days to the cart).

The cut-off

A day closes twelve hours before service, that is noon the day before. After that, the box is greyed out and reads « Commandes fermées » (ordering closed).

As long as your cart is not empty, a bar stays at the bottom of the screen: number of meals, total, and « Voir mon panier et payer » (view my cart and pay).

3

Paying by Interac e-Transfer

Go to checkout. You are asked for the full name of the Interac payer: write it exactly as it will appear on the transfer. That is the name we match when the transfer arrives.

Before you pay

On the confirmation page, click CONFIRMER and wait for the button to turn green (« ✓ CONFIRMÉ »). Do not leave the page before that, and do not send any money before that: that click is what records the payer’s name.

You get the « Vos menus sont réservés » (your menus are reserved) email right away, with the day-by-day detail and the total.

Then send your Interac e-Transfer to commande@jacinthe.pro:

  • the exact amount of the order — an amount that matches no order stays pending;
  • from the person whose name you wrote at checkout;
  • with the order number in the message. That is what we read if the payment does not match on its own.

A single transfer can cover several orders, as long as the total comes out exact.

When the transfer is matched, you get « Vos menus sont payés » (your menus are paid) and your meals turn to ✓ Payé in « Mes repas réservés » (my reserved meals), under the calendar.

Important

Reserved is not paid. An order still unpaid 24 hours before the meal is set aside: the meal is not prepared and the child is not on the kitchen list.

If payment is late

You get four reminders, not one more: after 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days and 6 days. After the fourth, your account is blocked and no new order is possible until the balance is paid — the block lifts on its own once you pay, there is nobody to call. An order unpaid for 14 days is deleted.

You paid and nothing is moving? Write to us: the transfer has not been matched yet, and your child may not be on the list.

4

Moving a meal

The « Mes repas réservés » (my reserved meals) panel is under the calendar, on your school page.

Is your child sick or away? Move their meal to another date up to 9 p.m. the day before service. The meal then leaves the list for its original date and shows up on the new one.

  • A reason is required: illness, appointment, school outing…
  • The new date must still be open, so no later than noon the day before. Taking a meal off a date is allowed later than adding one to another: taking one off frees up a portion, while adding one means one more meal to prepare, and the kitchen needs time.
  • The dish changes with the date: what gets served is the menu of the day you pick. A sandwich stays a sandwich.
  • Three moves maximum per meal. After that, write to us.
No refunds

There are no refunds and no cancellations. A paid meal gets moved, that is all.

And it is up to you to move it, in « Mes repas réservés », before 9 p.m. the day before. Nobody will do it for you. After that hour, the meal is prepared and you are charged for it, even if your child is away.

What gets stuck most often

What you seeWhat it means
« Complétez votre dossier avant de commander » (complete your file before ordering)A required detail is missing. The message tells you which one.
« Aucun de vos enfants n’est inscrit à cette école » (none of your children is registered at this school)The child’s school is wrong in your family information.
« Repas déjà dans votre panier » or « déjà commandé » (meal already in your cart / already ordered)That child already has a meal that day. One per day only.
« Commandes fermées (12 h avant le service) » (ordering closed, 12 hours before service)It is past noon on the day before.
A greyed-out day, with a reasonA holiday, a pedagogical day, or a day this school is not served.
« Cocher tout le mois » does not fill the cartThat is normal: the button only checks boxes. Pick the meal next, then send.
Paiement non reçu (payment not received) on a meal you paidThe transfer has not been matched yet. Write to us.

A question that is not answered here? Write to info@jacinthe.pro. The e-Transfer always goes to commande@jacinthe.pro.
